This Privacy Policy applies to the Road Recorder mobile application ("the App") available on Google Play. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully to understand how we handle information in connection with your use of the App.

Data Collected by the App

Road Recorder does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All recordings — including video files, GPS coordinates, speed logs, and route data — are saved exclusively on your device's local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers or any cloud service.

App Permissions

The App requests the following device permissions, used solely to provide its core functionality:

• Camera — to record dashcam video.
• Microphone — to record audio alongside video.
• Location (GPS) — to log GPS coordinates, speed and route during a recording.
• Storage (Read & Write) — to save and manage recording files on your device.

None of the data obtained through these permissions is transmitted outside your device by the App itself.

Third-Party Services

The App may include the following third-party SDKs, which operate under their own privacy policies and may collect anonymous, non-personally-identifiable usage data (e.g. app crashes, session counts, device type) to help us improve the App:

• Google Play Services — required for core Android functionality. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous app usage statistics. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out via your device's "Opt out of Ads Personalization" setting. Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

The App does not contain any advertisements.

Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete any recordings directly within the App or by removing the App's files through your device's storage manager. Uninstalling the App removes all associated local data.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. It is not directed at children and does not contain content intended for children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
